March 29, 1999 13:47 eConnect in Talks to Acquire Rogel Technologies, Developer of Software Applications and Web-Portal Provider for Multibillion-Dollar ERFECT Gaming and Merchant Industry LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--eConnect (OTC BB:BETT) is in talks to acquire Rogel Technologies, a 14-month-old business- software and Web-site developer whose GlobalMarketPlaceMall.com will develop the Web-portal provider for PERFECT merchants to receive SECURE PERFECT special software developed by Rogel Technologies to advance the PERFECT industry. eConnect would position Rogel Technologies' GlobalMarketPlaceMall.com as the hub of the eConnect gaming companies of 777WINS.com and eSportsbet.com and future gaming-company acquisitions in the specific gaming segments of lottery, bingo, horse racing and slots. Additionally, GlobalMarketPlaceMall.com will serve as the portal point into PERFECT merchant sign-ups and the download point by PERFECT merchants to access and receive SECURE PERFECT software, which has been especially developed by Rogel Technologies for merchants to use in responding to PERFECT orders. PERFECT transactions are originated by self-service public, home and office terminals that are sending in consumer self-service same- as-cash ATM-card-with-PIN or smart-card and card-present credit-card or charge-card electronic transactions. The PayMaster (http://www.hpos.com) is an example of a PERFECT terminal, as are the in-development Internet bypass SLICK and pocket-size PocketPay, a combination mobile terminal and wireless phone.
