GJS, I noticed you are a recent SI member(today!). Welcome, this is quite a community and one worth joining. I hope you stick around as your comments would really add to many discussions-had no idea that my post would conjure an apparition. Sorry you got misquoted. Re the SNIA-What you did say about competitors sitting down at the same standards table probably explains why they haven't accomplished enough. What's that word, co-opetition(sp?); Great concept, but maybe it doesn't work too well? Nobody really trusts anyone else? The result is that EMC took the ball and ran with it? For all our sakes hope that SAN interop. issues are sorted out soon!
