I have several reasons for taking them offline. More later.

Let's continue in the spirit of the thread, however, and suggest business plans that are "leveraged up wazooooo".....

I nominate a group of the usual suspects..... GLIA, SIBI, BTRN, and MOGN.

David:

Reasons for taking the portfolios off-line......

1. I hadn't managed to update them for certain buys/sells, and I don't have a record of which changes have been made and which have not. I can update them, just by going through old posts. However, I haven't the urge to do such or to maintain the portfolios going forward. I may get inspired, we'll see.

2. The early posts imply that the portfolios would be actively managed, and that's not what is happening. I don't want someone to look at old picks and assume that there is current enthusiasm for any given issue.

3. I have gotten ticked at certain individuals, including some second-generation biofreaks here at SI, who seem to value piss-poor, expensive analysis or portfolio management over that which is given free by friends/collaborators.

Expanding on point 3....... the sector CEOs have never effectively set up standards by which scam or bait and switch companies can be judged. I have therefore come to the realization that attempts to temper hype and focus on big science only hurt my wallet. Moreover, I don't appreciate the hassle, death threats, etc. when I comment on companies that don't have a business plan to support their PR. I therefore plan to slowly transition to a lower key approach at SI.
