this is the A/D line chart of 1967-1981...in the Fall of 68 the market had a steep decline, much as we did in July/Oct

the A/D followed the decline down thru the bottom in Spring 1970..
then the market rallied to about 5% higher in Fall of 1972 and the A/D bumped up initially then trailed down to 'double bottom' as the market reached its high.....the same as we are doing right now

and then we can see what happened after that.....compare the above chart to the current

so is there a relationship? guess time will tell
