Hey, you are pinching my theme - as I mentioned, horseshoes are doing just fine, but that's not where the main action is.

Sure there will be a bigger pie, but the Paranoiac's share of that market will be smaller though much bigger in absolute terms. Many Q! devices will carry MSFT software and Intel made chips.

Not everyone shares in the growth. There will be many obsolete technologies and bust companies.

CD ROM sales will drop as MP3 takes off. Encarta sits unused now though I used to love it - the Web has it all and more. GSM is doomed with cdmaOne on the rantan. Books will be replaced by A4 readers. Driving cars will be replaced [for many trips] by some Web clicks. Dirty great big Pentium chips are ugly monsters and won't fit in most WWeb devices though they'll have a place in notebooks. Batteries will be methanol fuel cells so the old ones including Lithium ion which are cool just now will die. Stuff like that...
