, he's stubborn as a mule - doesn't want to be called - some of his cost basis is around $14, so he's terrified of the taxman.

Happy, I know the "mule" kind!! just kidding. As far as Cico is concerned, you guys are in very good positions; so it's really a matter of the "total portfolio/investment" outlook/strategy.

My Intc shares are more than 6 years old. I sold 40% this year and I will have the 20% Cap. gain on next April 15. My reasons for writing Intc calls/puts as an on-going monthly practices:

1. My intention is to keep the remaining 60% intact; not touched, as a long long hold. The cost basis is less than $20.
2. However, the equity or buying power that's vested in the long Intc shares is substantial...I can carefully, systematically writing(selling) calls and puts to utilize the "buying power" and get premiums. My intention is to just get the premiums, and of course that the premium will be taxed as S-T cap. gain.

Just some thoughts, feel free to comment. However, I really think that you know how to "trade" net stocks and are doing very well, and that seems to be a strength of yours. So please don't settle for my second rated strategies easily. But just be careful and doing what you do best.

I just bought back my LU puts. Don't think Lu will go much higher. Also sold my Apr
105 CSCO calls this mornin' for a quick profit. Sold some CSCO shares too. Am looking
at buying puts tomorrow -it HAS to have a pullback ! Am pestering hubby to sell calls on
CSCO stock (got him to take the day off today), he's stubborn as a mule - doesn't want to
be called - some of his cost basis is around $14, so he's terrified of the taxman.

I am a little late to post but I did buy back my CSCO covered calls and sold my long shares today. Around 3:30. I was not online for more than 5 minutes. It looks like a nice day I missed.
