I think AOL has everything to lose if DSL doesn't come to fruition. I am less certain how they would facilitate DSL service.

My understanding is this:
AOL is workin' with SBC on the bandwidth.
PAIR has SBC as a customer. So in an indirect way there is a link. However the degree of involvement is unknown. And for the skeptics,
I'll ad if any involvement.
