Probably a good play, you were the last trade of the day in that contract. Low volume today, not very convincing.
Have fun in Berlin............

it has (n)ever been this far off its 13 DMA.

EMC has been getting more attention than usual. When a stock gets more in demand it gets a higher P/E and not just a normal gain. This may be happening now with EMC to be the new darling for awhile.

Re: I do not believe it has ever been this far off its 13 DMA.

Well, if you mean on an absolute dollar basis you're probably right. If you're looking at a percentage basis though (which I feel is more relevant), it's been this far, and farther fairly frequently. One caveat is that I'm using a 15day SMA. It should be very similar to your 13 DMA, but your mileage may vary ....

Look at late October 98 for example, when the stock was at $60 and has pretty much gone straight up since. Even March 10 with the stock at $112 was very similar on a percentage basis. Go further back and you find others.

Is EMC overextended at $129? Probably. Is it actually going to reverse though? I don't think so. Just slow down and churn a bit while the moving average catches up again is my best guess at the moment. Time will tell.

Good luck ...

Bill
