Richard,You give me too much credit to put me in the same sentence as Paul V. He is a whiz when it comes to AMAT.

Nope, just luck and the excellent resources like Gottfried, John L., Big Bucks, Tito, Lester E., Teri (when she is here), Dr. Synder, Jeffrey D., Katherine and others like yourself.

However, thanks for the compliment. The PE scares the Hell out of me! According to the PE and fundamentals there is no for AMAT going as high as it is going, just future projection of earnings. The book, "The 2000 Boom, is great reading. I encourage everyone to read it. After reading it give the site some feed back.

Just my $.02.

Paul

Richard, in case you missed the charts showing monthly price vs SEMI
orders geocities.com Note the similarity between orders trends now and two years ago.
I pay more attention to that than to P/E.

Where are you getting that P/E? According to Baseline, the P/E, adjusted for today's closing price of 61 3/8, is about 83. Still high, of course, but far different from the 385 that you posted.
