Through its FactoryDirect services, Tech Data can cut delivery cycles by up to 10 days and significantly reduce inventory requirements at a time of decreasing price protection for computer systems. By shipping orders directly from Compaq's manufacturing facility, Tech Data eliminates transit delays that occur when trucking large pallets of systems to regional distribution centers. Through its enhanced partnerships with priority shipping services, the distributor can ensure the industry's fastest delivery to any U.S. destination. Using Tech Data's Private Label Delivery service, shipments can also be customized with reseller identity including logos and other personalized touches so each order looks like it came directly from the reseller. The free service saves additional transit time and costs associated with first shipping the product to the reseller location prior to end-user delivery.
