Thread, an odd comment from the PAIR thread that I'd never heard before. Can anyone verify?

I am not that familiar with DSL but from what I have heard it appears
the shortfall of DSl is the low quality in Video/Audio...when compared to
broadband/cable. However, compared to 56k dsl is a dream come true. Look how
long it took for v.90 to become the format for modems with people still using 56k and
56flex. If aol could get everyone to switch to dsl then we have something here.

By the way, the reference to the effect of AOL getting behind dsl is an important point.
