t2k, I don't disagree with you regarding Office 2000 being an earnings and cash cow for MSFT, but its impact will not begin until Q4 (June Q). And frankly, I think MSFT moved that $400MM into Q4 because Maffei already knows that this Q is GOING TO BE A BLOWOUT Q and wants to make sure that Q4 has enough fire power to set the stage for showing substantial growth heading into the new millenium. This is earnings management at its best.

In other words, something is "UP" here in Q3 that is unexpected.

Also, I will state again, I fully expect a positive surprise regarding Windows 2000 at some point during the COMDEX Show, and this would have a significant impact on the Street (Analysts) and their estimates for the remaining part of the year. It's pretty much a given that Office 2000 will be very meaningful for MSFT's earnings, but there's little surprise left in its anticipated release and related impact on MSFT's bottom line.

So I am looking at an April time frame that holds a lot of potential upside for MSFT prior to the end of the month. Thus, the May Calls are VEEEERRRRRRYYYYYYYY interesting to me at this time. JMHO.

I am trying to stay a couple of steps out in front of the Herd on this one.

Any and all comments are welcome.
