I don't now. My guess would be that he's a military man at heart, expresses his opinions until the civilian leadership makes the decision, then accepts that and goes and does his best to enforce (or in this case support) it. That's been his approach all his life, I doubt he's changing now. I would LOVE to know what he really thinks of this. I suspect he's rolling his eyes in anguish. But we won't know until its over, if then.
