I know that all the DGIV'ers are hungry for a little DGIV info. Roger Templeton was nice enough to provide a tidbit. No earth shaking news here but it's always nice to know that someone is working in order to bring success to DGIV and making them a profitable company. I would like to express my appreciation to Mr. Templeton. He has been very prompt in answering my questions, even though I know he must be very busy at DGIV. The e-mail I submitted to Mr. Templeton follows his reply. Dear Dr. Day, My understanding is that the shares in the float has been pretty much what it is today ever since last fall. While I know that there has been a 1.5% to 2% growth in the number of outstanding shares trading, I'm not aware of a significant increase in the float for quite some time. You are right, however, in observing that this will all be "water under the bridge" in the long run. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for developments to overcome the drift DGIV has been in for the past several weeks. Having just given a presentation in New York to some retail traders and brokers last week, I was able to review the competitive situation and Digitcom's position vis a vis "the big guys" that have made recent announcements about incorporating VoIP technology into networks they're planning. I believe that this merely strengthens Digitcom's business plan in as much as we are targeting monopoly PTTs to bring them into partnership in deploying the Digitcom VoIP network. The entry of Nortel, the experiments of Deutsch Telecom is planning, etc., merely increases the pressure on the PTTs we're approaching to compete--and Digitcom is offering them the technology and access to the US market that they otherwise do not have! The entry (slow and tentative, though it is) of large players merely enhances our competitive advantage in partnering up with these PTTs. At least, that's my sense of the situation. It seems to be reflected in the increased interest we've received in the past few weeks, first to move ahead with Egypt and Taiwan, and also by a couple of new inquiries we've received.
