Hey, they can tap my line - they'll need several full time analysts and a Cray computer to analyze the 1+ Gigabyte of info that crosses my modem each day, much of it encrypted!!! They would have to tap Cable as well (Cable modems), and what about the multimodem piggyback technology... and DSL... and the ISDN...and cell phone modems (how CAN they do that)... and... I wonder if viruses are transmitted via wiretap. Common sense says they would. If I knew I was being tapped, I would be sending every virus known to man to myself ( and inventing some highly destructive ones on my own). Wonder if the government was busy today... "Your honor, I broke no laws. I only sent the virus to myself to see how it worked. The government has no case and I move for dismissal."
