Walcalla,
Hi!!!

RE: Last week - Merrill Lynch finally addressed the seriousness of the merger
talks between Dell and IBM. Although they were 2 weeks late, they agreed

Thanks for posting this link....I can't help but not reply to this....These guys kill me....aren't they supposed to discuss the possible long term perspectives of corporations? Why have I heard of this for months and months now?? Why is this a collison that almost certainly must occur? It is not just rumor.....for these two companies to benefit in the technology sector they need the agreements between them that will continue to fuel their growth...IMO it is nothing more than common sense...if these analysts wished to really make a name for themselves...they'd have made nothing less than a mention of these possibilities long ago...Some of them choose to mention "possible downfalls and downgrades"....where are the possible upgrades and potentials?? What a joke some of these firms are...Once again if this comes to fruition who will once again appear smarter and more informed...an investment firm or this thread?

Best, Kemble
