Tom:

I thought the same thing about Yahoo about five months ago, especially when they said their auctions would be free.

They have made no dent in the eBay juggernaut, and Yahoo is certainly a powerhouse.

Maybe Amazon will be able to develop a niche for itself in books and CDs in the auction space, but my money says that a year from now, eBay will continue to hold the lion's share of the auction market place.

Amazon has certainly proven that they can increase revenues quickly, but they have never shown that they can make money.

I am eager for them to bring it online.

Have they said when their auctions will go live?

Regards,

Doug
