i admit i am biased. but i think this is great news.

i speculate this scenario on bonds: bondholders are not
owners of the company, but generally bonds give
bondholders rights. one type of right that is common is
prevent the exact type of transaction that idtc wants to do. in
general, bondholders can prevent the company from
distributing important assets outside of the company (ala
spinoff). bondholders have a right to some level of security
that comes from net2phone. they may have been asking for a
piece of the pie.

imo, idtc is showing some backbone, and has decided to
spend a little extra time to do things right, and get a better
deal.

imo, this is a strong announcement:

(i) this confirms that all rumors about idtc (referred to as
rumors even though based on factual statements) are all true.
there is a spinoff coming. there are significant partners
involved. WE ARE LEGIT.

(ii) in the scheme of things, waiting 30 more days is nothing.

(iii) this will get idtc tons of attention.

(iv) the shorts must start to bail at some point. something big
is definitely coming. how can you stay short.

(v) the company is in play, new bids may come. maybe not,
but how can you risk being short if you're in play?
