My opinion is that Intel will have difficulty staying above $120. There is a shift in the market towards lower price systems. It won't be until the server market kicks in before Intel will continue with its traditional growth.

Another reason to buy the stock now rather than later!!
I think a lot of people are doing this and when lots do it----the stock goes up anyways. The future prospects get priced into the stock very efficiently, especially going into a stock split and earnings.
Remember no earnings warning was given. Investors tend to get optimistic in a hurry. Look for it to approach or exceed 140 by earnings release. IMHO.

Everybody's entitled to an opinion.

Next, please?

Re: "There is a shift in the market towards lower price systems. "

Is?

Is?

This shift started in earnest in early 1997.

Intel was selling for about $70 then.
