Monday March 29, 6:47 PM (EST) Serb TV shows crashed NATO plane in Bosnia. BELGRADE, March 30 (Itar-Tass) - The Serb TV in the Bosnian city of Pale showed overnight the debris of a NATO aircraft which crashed 14 kilometers away from the city. The onboard numbers of the bomber show that it belonged to the US Air Force. Eye witnesses commented that they heard a powerful explosion before the crash which can mean that explosives went off onboard. The plane was returning after an attack on Yugoslavia and was planning to make a forced landing in Sarajevo because of malfunctions. This was the second NATO aircraft shown on TV in the six days of air raids on Yugoslavia. On Sunday the alliance had to confirm that its Stealth bomber was downed in Yugoslavia. On Monday President Slobodan Milosevic awarded a big group of Air Force and Air Defense officers for the downing of the plane.
