For those wondering why Ballard has dropped the "F" from its NASDAQ ticker symbol, I offer the following explanation. Recently NASDAQ changed its rules requiring foreign companies to have an "F" at the end of their ticker symbol. Many foreign companies believed that the "F" unfairly stigmatized their companies amongst US investors who may have a reluctance to invest in foreign companies. Thus they are all now dropping the "F" in order to avoid the perceived (real?) bias.
