Here's a repeat of the MCI bond story from C/net today.

news.com

The market likes the story. I wonder if we get a pull back or just keep raging on? Does anybody know the debt situation for PCTV? I remember they had a pretty sizeable hoard of cash, but that coould have been spent.

Reading the other excellent link last night which interviewed the CEO, it looks like they have put in place the basic equipment to support Phoenix and Detroit. Now, it's a question of getting the customers. I wonder how expensive that will be?

The interesting thing is that he mentions AOL. It's clear that all these companies: Verio, Mindspring and all the others need high speed connections. I wonder though how much they can ask for reselling versus being an ISP in their own right.

It's interesting when you see the holding of the Oristano family. They've been buying in the lows. There was also some large holdings from one of the Fidelity funds.

Of all the talk about Internet and Digital TV, the MCI thing makes you think they are looking for an entry into local phone service. Is this within the charter for MMDS?

Lots of questions. I can say I've called the CFO in the past and he was very informative, but now I live in Australia and won't pay the phone charges. I suggest anyone interested give him a call and see what he has to say.

Regards,

Mark
