The thing that I liked the most about his direction is that for the last 40 years some people have thought that we can "re-write" all or parts of the human brain ... something that evolved over a long time. Kurweil seems to think, and I completely agree, that the human brain could be instantiated on a better "processor" ... one of silicon vs. one of carbon. I really believe that this is the key point ... why try to write from scratch if you can develop the tools to reverse engineer? ;-) > But I'm sure all here look forward to the day when an AI-based > expert trader can support us. :) But does this mean that the average person would not be buying Amazon at $250? ;-) Scott C.
