Walt: Well kind of. You wrote, "And, as long as the product we produce at Ovonyx Inc. is not in the same product line, it's all legal." But that doesn't mean its a great idea. I've received exactly the opposite advice (i.e., yes its legal but don't do it) in a similar situation. Imagine our poor children who haven't slogged through this thread for years, "Dad is that the x-ray diffractive prduct line or the non-volatile memory company?" Great way to build a brand: start with a real shaky foundation, pick a weird name already in use on someone else's product, confuse the bejeepers out of your dumb shareholders with a company name that is a homonym for another company you own.....
