Lu has it all. I bought LU because of the Labs. CSCO vs. LU. I feel CSCO has more to prove then LU has to lose. LU is a big company, with lots of competition, it will not gain more then 30 or 40% in a year, I'll take 10 15 20% per. year. I always keep this little tid bit in the back of my mind, "Half of the worlds population has yet to make a phone call." So, I feel LU is a nice long term holding, no barn burning, but worth holding to watch what they do in one of the most important sectors, communication. Yesterday rise was important trend reversal that came on news, and was bounce of the long term trend line. So if one is looking for a long term holding that will give a nice double digit return but not a double in years time, and doesn't want to worry too much about a stock, LU would be a good buy right here.

Sig, will this help stimulate new PC sales?

Microsoft does not expect Y2K and other issues to severely hamper sales of Office 2000 after it is released into the channel next month and generally released on June 10.

"We just see a huge market opportunity for taking that technology into corporations, not just as a revamped file-print server, but as an application development platform for a new generation of Internet-based networked and desktop applications," said Goulden. But, a lot of users have not yet "digested what was introduced last year" so there will be some delays in adopting new technology.
