Yousef, I have no losses in AMD. I bought years ago before the K6 came out. I've sold some off from time to time--profitably. My Intel gains are minimal, considering what the rest of my portfolio has done in the same time period. I'm unconvinced that Intel has superior process technology. They may just be reaping the benefits of a simpler process, the result of a simpler design. Fewer transistor cycles, fewer interconnect cycles = higher yield. AMD is within 50 MHz of Intel right now--not a very significant margin. When you factor in the architectural differences between K6 and P6, who's to say who has the better technology. Certainly not you--I'd be surprised if you've seen the inside of an AMD or an Intel fab, let alone both. Kevin
