Dan,

With all due respect to a person that I very much enjoy talking to, this thread draws more lines in the sand than Moammar Khadaffi:-)

It is just not between the "believers" and "unbelievers", but between the different branches and philosophies of Christianity. It happens all the time, "The you are way wrong and I am right" attitude that leaves no room for questioning, and therefore no room for growth.

Again, I am not saying anyone is wrong or bad for thinking or behaving this way. Everyone, I don't care how learned or secure they are, has a need for structure and validation in their lives at some point. I have yet to meet the person who didn't. it is just human nature.

I just personally feel that is more beneficial to me to try and remember that, and to use differences as a starting point for learning
instaed of a gauntlet.(Not saying that is what happens here all the time) I know that I can be guilty of being intractable, and am trying to learn how to be more flexible in that regard.

Mark
