Anti-chlamydial uses of BPI protein products

Abstract

The present invention relates to methods for treating chlamydial infection comprising administering to a subject suffering
from a chlamydial infection a bactericidal/permeability-inducing (BPI) protein product.

Since XOMA has said nothing about this patent I can only assume it is not novel and is of litle value.

Still with 30% of sexually active teenagers having this disease one would think it might be of some slight use. I estimate at least 30% of teenagers are sexually active.
