Amy, >>>I was not aware you knew every manager at Microsoft? <<<

It's a trickle down type of thing. You feel it in every smug peice of software they turn out - the stuff that's not copied from somewhere else. Their stuff shouts out Man, this is cool stuff and we're cool. If you don't like it, it's only because you don't get it.

As an example, I have been downloading browsers from day 1 from both MSFT and NSCP. I have never had a copy of Netscape downloaded (from 1.2 to 4.5 - and I have done this maybe 15 times on different computers and it always works. but, with MSIE, something always goes wrong - the install almost always fails - there is always some cute thing that I should have known about that cause me to spend a lot of time finding out.

The same thing with MSN when compared to AOL. I have installed AOL on different computers for family and friends and never fail to get it right the first time. I have never gotten MSN to work the first time. The same can be said for MS Front Page, their email software, et al.

Having said that, having a juvenile or youthful outlook on things and life in general may not always be a negative. Bill Gates has turned a lot of it around and made it into something positive - at least where his bottom line is concerned.

Regards,

Mary
