As a Forbes article today points out, you gotta love those guys at ATI (ATY.TO). While Replay, Tivo, and the rest are knocking themselves out building proprietary set-top boxes, ATI is quietly doing what it has always done: bundle more and more functionality into add-in cards.

Case in point: ATI's new All-in-Wonder 128, It does most everything the more expensive proprietary boxes do -- and more, but at less than half the price.
