Based on the article, I think not participating was a wise move. Here's the original: zdnet.com It would have been nice to see them develop an outline of exactly what problem they are trying to solve first. Manage submission of paperwork to head office? Manage documents for the remote sales office? Both? I think their view on costs was very narrow minded. Productivity for a sales person and increased effectiveness in submitting orders is probably work a heck of a lot more than 70-300$ per user on an annual basis.
