Pssst....don't look now, but OMPT closed up over 13%. As for the CNet information, I'd say I've gotta hang my hat on at least ONE statement made. And that is:

"Qualcomm and Ericsson are both supporting different flavors of a technology called CDMA, or code-division multiple access. The Ericsson-backed W-CDMA serves as an upgrade path for GSM phones, which are used by HALF the wireless consumers in the world, while Qualcomm's CDMA2000 upgrades today's CDMA operators."

HALF the world uses a variant of CDMA which provides an upgrade path for GSM?!? And this agreement begins the melding of the differences between "flavors" of CDMA? Hmmmm.....me thinks this has just got to bode well for GSM providers, eh?

And the 3.3 million shares transacted on that ~13% rise indicates sumbody thinks the same. Now let's see how it goes.
