Lehman Brothers must know something...

about Q1 results or some new development. They upgraded today from Neutral to Outperform. It looks like they are the only firm following this company, so what they say packs a lot of punch:

A loss is expected this quarter, then earnings are expected to turn positive starting next quarter (June). It seems a little early to be buying for that - a bottom around the time of the last negative release would be more typical. But, I'm not a Lehman Brothers client.

P-4: Defect Detection in Reflective Liquid-Crystal Microdisplays
W. K. Pratt, R. A. Pendergrass, S. S. Sawkar
Photon Dynamics, San Jose, CA

A recently developed automatic inspection system which detects, measures, and classifies defects in reflective liquid crystal on silicon microdisplays will be described. The detected defects include single pixels and rows and columns of pixels of incorrect luminance and a variety of blemishes, called mura, that appear as low-contrast non-uniform brightness regions.
