Please be careful here. Good science without good management is next to worthless -- to shareholders at least. There are so many good compounds sitting collecting dust in various biotechs it would make you cry. In addition, good science without good drug development makes for nice press releases and Science and Nature papers, but it doesn't deliver revenue to the bottom line.

Ignoring the GERNs and the ENMDs which rise and fall at will, the questions go beyond just "is it good science?". The real questions are "will it make a good drug and will someone develop it and will someone buy it?". Those are harder questions to answer, unfortunately.
