What is your view of handheld computers in the next five years + MSFT & QCOM's role in this area?

Gary, I have no idea if this particular device will win out, but it is worth repeating what I posted earlier:

The people who started this company, wrote the books used to teach MSEE courses in this business. This company hires and uses the brightest people in their industry. The Brain level is unbelievable!

QCOM wasn't formed for CDMA, it came along as a side event for the company! There is no other company in the world, IMO, who has the people and capability to innovate that QCOM has.

The unanswered question is: can they manage the company in such a way as to produce the sustained, quarterly, profitability that the street demands? They haven't done so, so far, but I think the major startup problems are past.

Just remember, the early years of Intel and MSFT were full of stress and strain. It took them a few years to get their acts together.
