Good point. and neither is Sun Microsystems, but they ended up going to the government when Microsoft turned their focus to the internet which is where Sun was focusing. Up to that point they had just been complaining about Microsoft's competitive practices, but anti-Microsoft momentum really took off when Netscape got involved.

With the acquisition of Fore, it brings Intel that much closer to having all the ammo they need to dominate the networking sector. Dominate microprocessors, and then be in the position to dominate networking???... seems like to a regulator this gives too much cross-sector power to one company.

Just my opinion.
