Sprint May Buy Bonds of Wireless Cable Providers, CNBC Says

New York, March 30 (Bloomberg) -- Sprint Corp. may try to gain advanced wireless
Internet links by buying bonds of so- called ''wireless-cable'' companies, and could be
interested in Heartland Wireless Communications Inc., financial news network CNBC
reported, without citing sources. The bid on the bonds of Heartland moved to 44 from
32 yesterday. A few competitive local exchange carriers may also be looking for an
opportunity there, CNBC said.

Wireless cable involves the transmission of multiple channel television programming
using microwave towers and small antennas fixed to homes or apartment complexes.
