Easy boys, last year Matsushita was 15th in market share and did $185M in DRAM sales for PC's. That's only 1% of the market. MU, with let's say 10% market share, could therefore pick up maybe 0.1% market share from these guys.

That said, it will be a howler if They try to pass this off as an excuse for a rampage tomorrow. I am, in fact, expecting something irrational due to the collapse in put premium today.

*That* said, here's the headline from one of tomorrow's Japanese newspapers: "02:01...Hitachi To Buy Out Nippon Steel Stake In Singapore Memory Joint Venture" nni.nikkei.co.jp If that's also DRAM, that's one more player biting the dust.

I can't get the story itself without a subscription, so take it FWIW.
