Good Point. Understand that I was responding to a strange comparison in the first place. The environment of a car on the road is different from the environment of a computer on the internet in a million ways.

I think it's reasonable to assume that there will always be pranksters and teenage boys looking to see if they can graffiti their computer viruses or worms all over the planet. It's also reasonable to assume that purchasers of software will not want to have to learn all sorts of technical details to prevent their computers from being infected. That's the computer environment we live in and that's the computer environment that our software should be designed for.
