The nice thing about TA is that if you don't like the answer you get from one guru (clear station) you can try AIQ.

AIQ today issued a Buy-98 (the number is from 95 to 100, higher is stronger).

The software gives this explanation of the signal:

Analysis of the rate of change of the exponentially smoothed average price suggests the completion of a downtrend. The rate of change is bottoming out and shows signs of increasing. In this market this is a bullish indication that a reversal may occur soon.

The closing equity price has reached a 21 day low which is not confirmed by an equivalent low in On Balance Volume. This is a bullish reversal that indicates prices could turn shortly and start an upward movement.

The closing equity price has reached a 21 day low accompanied by a positive Price Phase Indicator. This is a bullish non-confirmation which often indicates a price reversal to the upside.

The Price Phase Indicator is moving to the downside. This is a bearish continuation signal showing that a downtrend is in place and that prices are more likely to continue to the downside than they are to reverse and begin an upward movement.

So, ya takes your pick.

(Personally, I attend Graham and Dodds' church and leave TA to those interested in the occult. ;-)

Jennifer & Bob - Clearstation.

I use Clearstation also, as I appreciate the TA one can get at a glance, but take it with a handful of salt in the case of SEPR. With the recent downturn, I've simply searched through my sofa for loose change and bought more shares. I can only guess that the downturn was the result of a combination of factors: institutions tweeking their portfolios at the end of the quarter, momentum traders selling the news, shorters jumping in at the news, etc. Once again, I averaged UP:)

Clearstation was bought by EGRP recently, btw.
