...I do not know the exact details (I think they are still in the process of filing patents and are very cagy about the technology slipping into public domain), but from what I gathered, virtual filamentary elements (akin to those encountered in "String Theory) create a unitary network in a parallel universe, each filamentary element being in essence a micro wormhole. As a result, not only can the data transmission rate exceed the terahertz range, but the speed of transmission exceeds the equivalent velocity of light between nodes in the network.
