Novell's NetWare 5.0, with its Novell Directory Services, is clearly the superior product. For large, heterogeneous networks, NDS provides an unbeatable combination of manageability, maturity, granularity and accessibility. Just factor in NetWare's overall power, scalability, stability and ease of installation and it's easy to see why it's the NOS of choice for many IT managers. All of the products tested here can be a good solution depending on your enterprise network's unique needs.
