Very interesting. I can see that they're counting every penny; they may not be willing to pay a price for VLSI that's fair to VLSI and us poor starving stockholders. They're very worried about accounting to their own stockholders and are trying to be very tight with their purse strings.

Maybe they should give us part cash and part shares if they don't have the cash. That way we'll be investors in their company.
