JLA--- I went through this with my son. If it hadn't been for me, he would not have been prepared for a college- prep curriculum. The "educators" I dealt with were not very bright, to say the least, and were trained to discount whatever the parents said, because we are in denial. Therefore, they had low expectations. It turned out that I was right and they were wrong.
