When I was a teenager, we played a little "game" where a live fire cracker (more like a mini-grenade) was thrown at you. You showed how "brave" you were by catching it and holding it as long as you dared (often only a second or two) and pass it on to the next person before you lost your fingers. I suggest that you treat this stock in the same manner, whether you are long or short.

regards,
Sun Tzu

P.S. I am short 2000 shares with average cost in mid 50s.

Twick:

I agree with Sun Tzu that fundamentals currently don't have much to do with SIEB's short term performance and I know that trying to play the short term movements in this stock (or any for that matter) is a zero (actually negative) sum game that I would likely end up on the losing end of.

The way I am playing it is to hold a small enough position that I can ride out any conceivable short squeeze and wait for fundamentals to matter, at which time SIEB would probably be generously valued at $5.

BTW, one piece of information that I found interesting in the 10-K was that it appears there are now more than 2 million shares not owned by Muriel Siebert.
