John, I think the willingness of MSFT to talk about bigger concessions is a sign of how strong their business is going to be. Why waste time in court when you can enjoy your success. Bill Gates wants the spot light for new ideas rather being "bugged" by the press on the DOJ case. Definately a bullish indicator on their success in the future. I am not saying they will settle now but at a later date it makes sense, unless all parties decide why waste time and just get it over with.
