Forgive the pun, but between Saddam and Milosevic, I believe Clinton could be caught between Iraq and a hard place. Seriously though, I think we should inflict as much damage to Serbia's ability to make war as we can before we give even a hint that we may be interested in some sort of settlement. The very fact that Serbs are using Albanians as human shields is all the more reason to give the Serbs a significant taste of what it's like to be on the receiving end. Enough so that they sincerely don't want a second taste. Judging by Serbian doctrine to date, the fact that the Albanians are being used as shields may well be the only thing keeping them alive. Were we to cave in to the Serbs now, those same Albanians will most assuredly end up in shallow unmarked graves. We're in in now. Let's see it through.
