The subject is Barrick Gold which was under a barrage of selling today. Turning to that subject 95% of the trades were minus or zero minus ticks. 99% of total flow was out. That's a record. No stock ever measured by me has had such a one-sided bias.

The sellers hammered all the golds into the close. In ABX near the close several large blocks knocked it down to 16 9/16 and then a 70K slam pushed it down to 16 1/2. In NEM a 100K block hit after the close pushing the stock down 1/8 from the close. What is surprising is that these stocks held up as well as they did from the relentless selling.

My guess is the action is coming from institutions who need to get something as bad as gold off their books. Yes, it's window dressing.
