I wonder where WSP was going to get the $50million cash?
Also, While I hope Winspear wins this case, I don't think it is an automatic win. If they had precedent of working based on oral agreements, then Aber may have a valid argument. Looks like it may come down to a "we said, they said" case, and may depend on who has the best attorney. Are these cases heard by a judge or jury in Canada? Also important in my opinion, when were the funds due from Aber to Winspear? Interesting case. If Winspear loses, I think we will see a short-term drop in share price just based on psychological factors and that prospect of larger % may already be built into current price. Who knows?
