The greenline schedule is about the same as E*Trade and Netaction. My big beef with them is, if you are buying US stocks (NYSE or NASDAQ), they charge the same fee BUT IN US$. ie. $29.00 Cdn becomes $44.00. How can they justify this?

I use AB WATLEY in the states. I had no problem opening an account, just had to fill out a W8 form. I use their Level II and order entry system where my trades are filled within 2 seconds. I was going to use Priority Brokerage (Schwab) in Toronto, using PCQUOTE for Level II, but again, each trade (even US Trades) had to be "approved" by a broker. I tried to sign up with E*Trade in the US to get the cheaper commissions and instant fills, but they said they had an agreement with E*Trade Canada, and would not accept my application.

I stopped trading on the TSE because of liquidity compared to Nasdaq for day trading.
